It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to El Concilio’s website as we celebrate 42 years of providing services and empowering families in the San Joaquin Central Valley.

Founded in 1968 during the civil rights movement by five visionary leaders, El Concilio has managed to establish a distinguished record of accomplishment through the development of comprehensive social and educational programs creating stronger, healthier and more productive communities.

El Concilio was proud to have the support from our corporate sponsors along with so many elected and community leaders to help welcome Antonio Villaraogosa, the 41st Mayor of Los Angeles and a respected national leader for the Latino community who honored us with his presence as our Gala Keynote speaker.

We believe the future holds great promise for our community. We will continue to work with our partners in the public, private and faith-based sectors, to provide services, develop programs and advocate for children and families. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to pursue a quality education, have access to affordable health care and the opportunity to realize the American Dream of home ownership.
